About
Jason Shawn joined the EAI family in August 2021 and is currently serving as IT Support Manager. He worked in the private sector as a CIO and CTO bringing technology solutions and integrations to companies before starting a career in public education. Jason has over 13 years of public education experience, including in help desk, network infrastructure, technology integration, and technology administration. He brings a wealth of knowledge in technology, data integration, and a broad understanding of how technology integrates into K-12 education to EAI.
Why Education Advanced?
“While working at a school system that used EAI software I realized how it helped our staff with the information they needed to get our students focused on the areas they struggled in. This allowed our district to focus on what our students needed and in turn, we could educate our future leaders. So, it was an easy transition to work at EAI. I now can bring my firsthand knowledge of using EAI's software, experiences, and understanding of technology to many more districts.”
Outside of Work
Jason is a parent of three adult children. He has 2 daughters. His oldest daughter graduated from MSU with a degree in kinesiology. She is a personal trainer for the US Air Force. His other daughter is a freshman in college studying early childhood education and his son is still navigating his life after graduating from high school in May. Jason is a semi-professional chef and amateur photographer.
