Being a testing coordinator is just one of the many hats you wear. Even though you blocked time on your calendar last week to get your testing plan together, other issues got in the way. One of your own kids got sent home from school with a fever, the fire marshal was insistent that you do a fire drill to stay in compliance, a group of kids had a disagreement that involved immediate attention in hopes of avoiding a fight, and you had two separate conferences with teachers on the verge of walking out because of the stress with virtual vs. face-to-face instruction.

So, now you find yourself down to the wire to get a testing plan out for the staff and students. What do you do? Because you have TestHound, you know it is possible to get it all together in a short amount of time. These 10 steps will help you avoid a complete breakdown!

  1. Enable Multi-Session scheduling on your test administration.
  2. Set up the time of your test and select the days you will be administering the different tests.
  3. Add students by course or grade level. Course is usually used for End-of-Course assessments, while adding by grade level is used for grade-based assessments.
  4. Don’t forget to add by Retester for assessments requiring a retest.
  5. Add the rooms you plan to use for testing.
  6. Filter students by accommodations, then add to rooms.
  7. Add all other students to testing rooms.
  8. Add a test administrator to each room.
  9. Assign test booklets to students not testing online.
  10. Now you are ready to start running reports.

And just like that, you are done in time to pick up your youngest child from school and grab take-out for dinner – a sweet reward for completely rocking this test administration!
